Overview

The UN SDG Summit taking place from 18 to 19 September 2023 marks the halfway point of Agenda 2030. However, achievement is still very far off the mark; this timely webinar explores a roadmap to forecast Sustainable Development, post-2030. Panellists will explore various possible scenarios post-2030 from multilateral stakeholder and governance perspectives on the future of the sustainable development goals and envisioning long-term sustainable development, ahead of the UN SDG Summit taking place in September 2023.

Whereas the priority must be on achieving the current Sustainable Development Goals, it is essential that Parliamentarians are at the forefront of deliberations on the mid to long-term shape of sustainable development. Most importantly that they feel a sense of ownership in the design and delivery of whatever new SDGs are produced.

This webinar will seek to look at the positives and the negatives of the current SDGs and identify important lessons learned to overcome future risks and exploit future opportunities.
