Overview

Theme: Attracting and Retaining Effective Women Parliamentarians in the British Islands and Mediterranean Region

The Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) British Islands and Mediterranean (BIM) Region Conference will bring together women Parliamentarians from the BIM Region to discuss the theme of attracting and retaining effective women Parliamentarians.

The Conference programme includes a series of sessions and workshops on issues including online safety, equality reviews, elections and outreach. The CWP BIM Region Steering Committee will also meet to discuss the governance of the network.

The newly elected CWP Chairperson, Hon. Zainab Gimba MP (Nigeria), and CPA Secretary-General Stephen Twigg, will also attend the Conference to meet women Parliamentarians from the BIM Region and engage in the discussions.
