Workshop Overview

CPA Small Branches Workshop on Legislative Leadership for Environmental Resilience in Small Jurisdictions

Dates: 23 to 25 July 2024

Location: Hawaii, USA

The CPA Small Branches network is pleased to announce that we will be convening the CPA Small Branches Workshop on Legislative Leadership for Environmental Resilience in Small Jurisdictions in Hawaii, USA.

Parliamentarians and parliamentary staff will be able to attend the workshop on legislative leadership to develop environmental resilience organised by the CPA Small Branches network together with the kind support and assistance of the East-West Center and the Julie Ann Wrigley Global Futures Laboratory ASU.

Parliamentarians play a multifaceted role in representing small jurisdictions through engagement with local communities as representatives, crafting laws as legislators, and in holding governments accountable to commitments as scrutineers. It is therefore essential that they are equipped with the requisite knowledge and skills to devise effective environmental resilience strategies and foster connections with the wider policy and research community.

What is the format for the Workshop?

The CPA Small Branches Workshop on Legislative Leadership for Environmental Resilience in Small Jurisdictions will take place across three days from 23 to 25 July 2024.

Each day of the Workshop will feature multiple sessions, including:

  • Panel discussions
  • Roundtables
  • 1-to-1 Dialogues
  • Explainers
  • Q&As

How can I attend the Workshop?
