Overview

The Parliament of Malta will host the CPA Parliamentary Academy: Advanced Professional Development and Skills-building Residency Programme for MPs in February 2025.

This five-day Programme is designed to strengthen Members’ legislative, representative, and oversight skills. Using a mentoring and coaching approach, participants will explore practical solutions to their challenges, enhancing their abilities through simulations, role-play, one-on-one discussions, group activities, and exercises.

As this is an intensive Programme, participants must commit to the entire agenda and actively engage in each session. It is essential that proposed registrants are fully informed of the Programme’s agenda and timetable prior to attending.

Eligibility for this Residency Programme requires Members of Parliament to have completed at least the CPA Parliamentary Professional Development Certificate (4 online courses). This course is intended to complement the CPA Parliamentary Academy’s suite of online learning modules. within the CPA Parliamentary Academy.

Nomination & Registration 

  • CPA Branches may nominate up to two Members of Parliament to attend this programme. The residency courses are designed to complement the CPA Parliamentary Academy’s online courses by offering advanced face-to-face interactive learning and knowledge-sharing opportunities.

  • Nominations are now open and must be submitted by Friday, 6 December 2024. Please complete and submit nominations via the Nomination Form.

  • Please note: Due to high demand and limited spaces, applications received after the deadline may be placed on a reserve list.
