8th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference - 67th CPC

The Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) is the network of women Members of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association’s Parliaments and Legislatures. The network's mission is to promote the representation of women in CPA Branches and women's full and equal participation in all political and parliamentary leadership at all levels.

The 8th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference will bring together female and male Members of Parliament in the Commonwealth to discuss equal representation in Parliaments through a series of workshops and governance meetings.

The CWP Conference will follow the meeting of the CWP Steering Committee and consists of:

  • Four learning and development workshops for Members of Parliament (see links below)
  • A CWP Business Meeting

The Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference was previously triennial (every three years) but in 2023, CWP Members agreed to hold an annual CWP Conference.

The main theme of the 8th Commonwealth Women Parliamentarians (CWP) Conference is: 'Engaging, Promoting and Retaining Women in Power'.

The 8th CWP Conference will take place from 4 to 5 November 2024 in the margins of the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (3 to 8 November 2024).
