40th CPA Small Branches Conference at 67th CPC

The 40th CPA Small Branches Conference will bring together Members of Parliament from the smallest jurisdictions in the Commonwealth to discuss issues relevant to their Legislatures in a series of workshops and governance meetings.

The Conference will follow the meeting of the Steering Committee of the CPA Small Branches network and consists of:

  • Four learning and development workshops for Members of Parliament in small jurisdictions
  • A Business Meeting of the CPA Small Branches network

The main theme of the 40th CPA Small Branches Conference is: 'Building a Sustainable and Innovative Future for CPA Small Branches'.

The 40th CPA Small Branches Conference will take place from 4 to 5 November 2024 in the margins of the 67th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia (3 to 8 November 2024).

  • Workshop A: Strengthening Parliaments Through Twinning: Lessons from the Australia-Pacific Partnership.
  • Workshop B: Accelerating Digital Innovation for Resilience and Growth in Small Jurisdictions.
  • Workshop C: Balancing Tradition and Innovation: Modernising the Westminster System in Small Jurisdictions.
  • Workshop D: Joint Small Branches and CWP Workshop – Gender and National Climate Planning: moving from commitment to scalable action.
