The inaugural Emilia Monjowa Lifaka Lecture will take place at the 66th Commonwealth Parliamentary Conference in Accra, Ghana, in memory of Hon. Emilia Monjowa Lifaka, the late Chairperson of the CPA International Executive Committee and Deputy Speaker of Cameroon.
Hon. Monjowa Lifaka was a passionate champion of the CPA and served as CPA Chairperson from November 2017 to her untimely passing in April 2021. The Lecture is intended to provide a fitting tribute to her work.
Who will deliver the inaugural Lecture?
A keynote address will be delivered by Betty Abeng, Chief Executive Officer of the Commonwealth Education Trust, with a response from Dr Leslie Casey-Hayford, a Ghana-based international education development expert.
The inaugural Lifaka Lecture is supported by the International Parliamentary Network for Education (IPNEd).
Who can attend the Lecture?
All delegates, observers and panellists at the 66th CPC are invited to attend the Lecture, which will take place at 19.00 GMT on Monday 2 October 2023 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
